Manila, Philippines — G-SHOCK is turning its attention to the details with the launch of the Luxe Black 2100, a new four-piece collection that gives its recognizable 2100 silhouette a more refined visual identity.
Rather than reinventing the design, Luxe Black focuses on subtle changes in finish, texture and detailing. The collection is now available at G-SHOCK stores and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as through the CASIO G-SHOCK website, Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and Zalora.
The collection arrives amid growing interest in quiet luxury, where understated design and quality materials take precedence over overt displays of status. For G-SHOCK, the concept offers a new way to communicate its longstanding reputation for toughness.
“More than just an aesthetic, quiet luxury is a mindset, and Luxe Black is G-SHOCK’s answer to it,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager of the Timepieces Division at CASIO South East Asia. “We’re keeping the durability the brand has always been built on, but expressing it through material and finish instead of visual volume. It’s a sign of where G-SHOCK is headed: toughness that can flex with how people actually want to dress, not just one fixed look.”
The new collection brings together matte black dials, minimized reflection, redesigned hands and indexes, and carefully placed metallic accents. These elements create a watch that reveals its design through closer inspection rather than immediately demanding attention.
Two models in the collection, the GM-2100LXB-1A (₱17,010) and GM-2100LXB-1A9 (₱15,710), feature hairline-finished metal bezels with black ion plating. Their matte black dials are complemented by silver- or gold-toned details and redesigned hands and indexes.
The GA-2100LXB-1A (₱9,430) and GA-2100LXB-1A9 (₱9,430) take a lighter approach, featuring matte-finished octagonal bezels and bands, redesigned matte black dials and metallic vapor-deposited indexes.
Underneath the refined aesthetic is the performance G-SHOCK wearers expect. All four models offer shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, world time across 48 cities, Hand Shift, double LED Super Illuminator lighting and up to five daily alarms.
The collection also incorporates bio-based resin in key bezel and band components, combining the brand’s durability with a more sustainability-minded material approach.
With Luxe Black, G-SHOCK demonstrates how small design decisions can change the character of an established silhouette without losing its identity.
